ITK aka I Too Know.

Freezing white Monday morning and yeah I HATE SNOW, we have personal beef but i shall talk about that some other time.

I'm a proud Nigerian but some Nigerians have a disease called ITK, its overwhelming how someone can argue with you for over thirty minutes about something/somewhere and they refuse to admit that they are wrong and even try to make you sound stupid for trying to enlighten them about the issue at hand.

Don't get me wrong i believe in standing my ground when i am trying to pass a message or make a point but being adamant when your wrong is just plain STUPID.
I was having a conversation with some guy yesterday that i thought he had sense but clearly he didn't, and i found myself getting upset because it made no sense to me why someone in university would argue blindly about something he wasn't sure about.

Basically the argument started when i told the guy that i'm from Omoku in Rivers State and he started telling me he knows where Omoku is and it is close to hes school(Uniport) and its neighboring community is Aluu. Now that does not make sense because Omoku is nowhere near uniport or aluu although you pass uniport on the way there but its like an hour plus away from these places and i tried to explain to Mr man but he tells me that i do not know where i am from and i should ask my mum and dad. That statement got me pissed and speechless for about thirty seconds.

I thought i was talking to a male human with common sense but it turned out that i wasn't so i tried to explain to him again how Omoku and Bayelsa are kinda on the same route till u turn right into Ahoada which leads you to Omoku but guess what Mr university said no way that i am wrong and he was gonna prove it to me that from Omoku junction he takes a bike to where he stays and its about ten mins away and they charge him 100 naira.

At this point i was weak but i was determined to school this confused male human, so i gave him a brief history about my Omoku and told him that it was obvious that in the Aluu community where he stays there's a place with the same name as my village but they are two different places and he should do a better research because if our conversation was an exam he would have failed like a fool and i ended the convo because i saw no reason to continue talking with someone that couldn't just admit the mix up and get proper information.

If we can accept being wrong when we are wrong mhen it would help us a lot, yeah we might look stupid but arguing would only make your stupidity grow into something else.

Ro Gini? (Romance is Dead)

Gone are the days of I like you, talk your own. No seriously those days are far behind us, before a guy could take a girl to Mr biggs and she would be so excited cause to her that was a romantic date. Try am today, if she gree go on the date with you she go pack her friend come.
I'm a girl and when my male friends tell me what some girls do it makes me want to cry. Please when did money and material possessions become part of romance? If a guy decides to spend on you be grateful and don't go demanding stuff you can't spell or never dreamt of having and when he doesn't meet your demands he is a cheapo because he didn't get u the latest bb or hair smh girls when we go learn? 
Be like me shave half your head of and things like Brazilian hair won't be an issue and if it is you just buy half for half your head problem solved :D
As for some guys na them go ask you out on a date and after the date they feel they have earned the right to sleep with you and if you no gree na wahala and if you gree you just might be called an ashi lol complicated I know.  

I'm not really a fan of dis guys are liars ummmm well girls also lie too so we are equally guilty about that. And the lies these days are pretty ridiculous and uncalled for and most of them are pretty lame at it. A girl wants to form P-H big girl and claim to have been around the world and  with the help of her blackberry she can easily expose her stupidity by updating her status saying " I'm having a nice time chilling in Miami beach London i needed this vacation things" this kind of thing makes me wonder what happened in her secondary school because i'm pretty sure that when she was in in SS1 she studied geography because in that class your forced to study every subject and at least know the difference between countries etc,  I'm just saying this because when I was in SS1 in geography class that's all I could manage to learn biko the rest gave me constant headaches :D.

Then the guys omg when they decide to toast you it could lead to tears not because the words coming out of their mouth is amazing hail no but because your terrified as to why you have to go through such mental torture. Gone are the days when letters were written now if a guy manages to get the courage to write a letter to a girl she fit vex ask you why u no fit ping her the letter no jokes in this day and age anything is possible, because bbm has made every face to face conversation start or end with the question can I have ur pin? Infact I don't blame some girls when they say stuff like "ahhhh I'm sorry o I left my pin at home or sorry my pin is on its way to Nigeria from China" lol! Just kidding, na by force to own blackberry? 

Omo I dey go dentist today so I gotta run, I shall continue this some other time but it would be nice to be in a very lomantic relationship and be given flowers oh! When the guy comes to your house, knocks on your door and when you come out he hands you the flowers, I've always imagined myself smelling it even though I can't smell jack but that's what I see on TV so why should my case be different? Then say "omg baby they are beautiful" well I can only dream lol.

JANEWARY.

So its a new year yay!!!!! 2013 and i'm sure that all the new year resolutions have already been broken, be like me don't bother making any so you don't start to feel guilty lol.
For me its already been a crappy start to the year but i'm happy that i am alive because a  lot of people didn't make it into the new year which is really sad but God knows best.

I've been stuck at home since Christmas because my wisdom tooth decided to break and i have been in all sorts of pain but the best part about this whole episode was what my wonderful granddad said to me. He called me by my village name, he said " Ucheju please stop chewing bone oh! so all your teeth don't fall out" it made me laugh because i wished it was a bone that caused my problem but it wasn't, one faithful day in 2012 i drank water and felt stuff in my mouth when i checked TA DAH it was half of my tooth, now tell me how does that happen?????

I didn't know that pain could make one paranoid oh! I have to take a lot of painkillers and sleeping meds to help me get through this phase and my mums bed seems to be calling my name a lot these days cause i'm always sleeping in her bed, it doesn't matter if shes in or out once it calls my name there's no ignoring it. One faithful night after i had finally managed to get my lazy drowsy self out of her bed i went to mine sat down and  my eyes caught my wardrobe and it looked suspiciously empty, i panicked picked up my phone called my mum and told her that i had been robbed, my mum was on the other end of the phone trying not to laugh and she reminded me that my clothes were still in my suitcases (was meant to travel for Christmas but i didn't and i saw no reason to bring the clothes out cause they are neatly folded and still in the suitcases as i type).

I honestly done suffer this period, Christmas day i and my mum went for a party and i couldn't drink cause i was on antibiotics then to make matters worse i was offered pepper soup, all i could do was drink it while my wonderful mother sat beside me eating my meat (we make a pretty good team lol).

Its 3.40am and i'm wide awake high on painkillers and bored stiff so i decided to make a new blog, and as Port-Harcourt's 1st daughter i came up with the title of my blog :). And yeah i get to pull out my teeth on Friday yay!!!!! neva been so excited about going to see the dentist........
